The sexual revolution of the ’60s in the US possibly spooked a whole lot of people. Apparently, it did not happen in Asia, in the East. So, abstinence from sexual activities became a virtue especially in religious communities in the West. Unificationists are proud to teach sexual abstinence to their offspring.
